Yes you can, I used to use human clippers on my Shih-tzus until I bought some profesional dog ones.

u can't.human's hair is harder.if u use the trimmer, i won't cut down their fur:D

You probably could, but I would not recommend using used clippers on a dog if used on people or the clippers used on a dog, on a human afterwards, just for health and sanitation purposes. But, I'm sure the equipment is similar enough.
