There is three girls. Two of us is married. My sister is the essense of what a woman is and should be. She is successful in her own right. She owns her home. No children. In the looks department, she is simply gorgeous. Long curly, ebony hair, grey eyes, honey skin. She is small but shaped like an hour glass. She is a "down" sista. She does not look at a man's earnings too much, she always says that she has money and do not need a man's money. I think that may be part of the problem. My other sister and myself both married men that at least earned what we did or more. It makes things less complicated. I know that sounded snobby. Her relationships last no more than 6mos. She wants the happily ever after. What advice would you give to her?

I think she may be a little too independent. Of course I love it when women don't sit around and expect for a man to pay for everything they want. But it seems that she may be the type that when a guy really wants to pay for her, or do nice things, she won't accept it. I agree with what another person said, she should really stop looking, and let the man come to her. The way you describe her, she reminds me of Joan Clayton on the show Girlfriends. She so wants to have a lasting relationship, but maybe at times she comes on too strong, or fast forwards the relationship way too soon. Hopefully someday soon she will find a man that doesn't feel threatened by her strength, and independence.

Well, coming from a guy, I'd say look for a guy like me. I'm not trying to get at your sister, okay? Well, try to find that "Urban Renaissance Man" that'll be just enough of everything. Try waiting it out so instead of finding the man, let him find her. That's how I was raised. I hope that helped, if only a little.

Because she is trying too hard. Men can tell when a woman is man hunting, and they will lie to her just to get what they want and then dump her. She need to just stop looking. No I didn't say lower her standards, just stop looking. Let the men find her and they will, a woman with a job and a home is a good catch.
