I've found over time that all women are different when it comes to a man's appearance. I know facial hair really BOTHERS some women, while others think it's "sexy", and I'm just curious as to WHY? What influenced you MOST to be that way (either FOR or AGAINST): Your father, Hollywood, our culture, your religion, or what? What if it's not "bushy" but "close cropped"? And if you DO like facial hair on a man, which way do you prefer it: "full face", "goatee", "beard but no 'stash", "chin only", "mustache only"? Or are all those "shaving commercials" right, that "clean shaven" is REALLY "manly and sexy"?

Of course, it depends on the guy, but...

Personally, I like a closely cropped beard or a goatee.

The reason...I just think it's sexy. I don't blame Hollywood or anything. If a guy has confidence, he can wear his facial hair any way he wants and get away with it. The only facial hair that bothers me is a beard that's too bushy, or scraggly. Besides...Isn't it what's on the inside that counts?

I think it totally depends on the guy. It depends on what your facial structure is and what kind of beard it is. But, for the most part i think clean-shaven is the way to go.

without. they look like bums with beards. if it's a close beard and not one of those hairy ones, they are sexy.

Well if you're ugly then a beard goes really good on you because only ugly guys wear a beard.

I mostly like clean shaven. But on some guys a small well trimmed beard looks %26amp; feels fantastic.'

i generally hate facial hair. i specifically hate goatees and mustaches. actually... a "close cropped" beard can look okay. even a close cropped area of facial hair that is like... the mustache and beard connected... that can look good. slight stubble can look good (see jake gyllenhaal) but don't overdo it. the bushy stuff is a NO-NO. why? because it reminds me of Santa Claus (not exactly a turn-on). and those mustaches (the ones not connected to anything) just scream 'pedo.' stubble can look sexy when done right because... it looks like he was too busy saving the world to shave yesterday. haha, i don't know. it can also make him look cute like a little puppy (jake gyllenhaal). but if you're unsure, clean shaven is the way to go in my opinion.

when Orlando Bloom went to the premiere of Troy that was a neat kind of beard....otherwise no i do not like men with beards,u can c their face's better without it:)

It totally depends on if the guy can pull off facial hair or not. If they're growin a bush then its gross. If they cant grow facial hair and just have a few stragglers then it is like chin pubes, and that is gross. Some men look really sexy clean shaven and others look sexy with facial hair. It depends on what look the guy is going for. I am not too partial to any look as long as he is not goin for the bush or the pubes look. Whatever he likes other than those 2 are alright by me!

I do love a goatee on a finely chiseled face, but beards are rough for a woman's skin. My dad has a beard, so maybe it's that in my memory that makes me like facial hair.

yea it all depends on what the guy looks like my boyfriend,he has the side burns that connect with the mustache and its really neat in appearance...i got so use to him having it that i like guys with facial hair.......the only thing i hate is a nappy goatee.....

I hate a full. long beard as they look dirty, smell funny and most men do not know how to look after them properly so they just look awful. However, if they are neatly trimmed close to the face and well maintained I suppose they could look ok. My boyfriend has a close cut goatee but no tash, he looks about 12 years old without his wee goatee!!

A nicely trimmed beard can be very nice. One of those hippie-looking beards however is a total turnoff.
