Do women interpret a man's 'Hello' as a pickup attempt?

Hi,

I've noticed in my office that the women who take so much

care to look beautiful, who spend so much time on their

clothes, shoes, hair, makeup, seem the coldest and angriest.

The women who don't look so Cosmo are much friendlier,

laugh easier, smile more, and make more friends. They like fun people, both men and women, and don't exist in a high school 'boy/girl' mindset.

I've given up trying to be friendly to them, or even

saying 'Hi'. Because when i did, they gave me the impression

that I was trying to pick them up.

And all I did was say "hello" in the same way i greet every other coworker, or my aunt or uncle.

Are women obsessed with their looks and beauty suspicious of all men? Is their vanity removing the joy from their life?

Maybe those type of women are letting vanity take the joy from their lives, or maybe they simply have issues. You're doing the right thing by ignoring them. Now they'll probably start speaking to you. Women like that hate to be ignored. They imagine all men want them, and when they see a man who they perceive isn't lusting after them, then no matter what that guy looks like, all of a sudden he becomes attractive to them. Trust me. I know the type. ';-)

No, at least I'm not like that! I think it's a matter of some people being kinder than others, and using manners. Some women use beauty as power, like people who use money or a position in a career or status in society as power. It's mean and hateful. It really truly depends on who that person is on the inside and if they are good people.
