for guys: does a girl with short hair automatically make her 'masculine' and 'unattractive' to you, and what if girls don't wear makeup (this is what all my guy friends say)

Girls: I am a girl that has short hair, no make-up, alto II, wear punk clothes, will not carry a purse to save my life, and I someitmes have a man's 'attitude' and my close friend is a girl with long hair, makeup, girly punk, feminist. Does this automatically make us a lesibien pair (people think that) Not to mention she is flat chest and butt while I'm the opposite with the 'hourglass' like figure. What do you think? (or am I letting my small town school get to me with their cursed opinion)

Personally, it depends on the person and how they look with short hair and no make up. Girls with short hair and a little make up that looks natural is alright as well. It all depends on how they look. I knew a girl with short hair and she wasn't bad looking.

You are letting your school get to you. I was EXACTLY same as you when i was in school, Always had short hair, never wore make up and carried around the wallet with the chain attached. I was frequently asked if I was a guy, and my rebuttle to that was, "I can be whatever you want me to be". Stupid questions deserve stupid answers :P

Just be yourself and if people can not accept you for who you are, then it's their loss. You don't need to act the way they think you should just because they think it. Once you get out of school you will realise that none of that matters in the least.

Why do you care what your male friends has to say let alone what people in general will feel? What you'd just describe about yourself and your friend is stereotypes! You will be surprised that some of 'girly girls' you ever ever seen can possibly be a lesbian, you never know just based on how one wears their hair.

If you don't want people whispering about what is your sexuality, at least try to look feminine, not saying over the top but earrings, a little makeup, nice fitting clothes (not slutty) and toning down the manly attitude a bit can does wonders.

I have short hair and never had people (at least in my face) assume or say I am a lesbian. But at the end, if you are comfortable dressing the way you want, more power to you. Also some guys always will have a ignorant opinion about females with short hair so unfortunately you can't change that as it is what is. Just be you as you are fine the way you are and others will sense that you are comfortable in your own skin.
